Prioritize lightweight, breathable, wrinkle-resistant materials that look great even after hours rolled up in your suitcase. While I tend to avoid polyester most of the time, there’s no doubt that it is more wrinkle-resistant than cotton. If you don’t want to spend your mornings ironing your clothes, look for cotton blends with polyester. If you prefer more natural, look for rayon, jersey or nylon.
Linen is a classic for European summer outfits – it’s breathable, breezy, and gets softer with every wear. Yes, it will be wrinkled in your luggage, but honestly? It’s going to be wrinkled halfway through the day. Cotton gauze is another fantastic option that’s soft, airy and comfortable on hot days, and it hides wrinkles well.
