Halloween I-Spy
Our printable Halloween I-Spy is a great activity to practice observation and counting skills! To make this a reusable game, print and put in a page protector and use washable dry-erase markers to circle the objects.
Spooky Scavenger Hunt
Goblins of all ages will absolutely love a spooky scavenger hunt! You can easily create an easy and exciting scavenger hunt for your littles with this free download and some Halloween treats, tricks, or trinkets. It’s easy to set up and is great Halloween fun! This activity is perfect for the older monsters to get involved with.
Directions:
- Print and cut the clue cards.
- Keep the first card with you to give to child to start the Scavenger Hunt
- Place the rest of the cards in the designated locations with an (optional) small Halloween treat.
- The final clue should lead to a special Halloween surprise! (i.e. Halloween book, craft, costume, toy, candy basket, etc.)
Halloween Matching Game
Play a simple matching game with ghostly pairs of Halloween-themed pictures. For younger toddlers, we suggest you start with fewer pictures and work up as they’re ready. This game includes 24 haunted pairs for a spooky challenge!
Directions:
- Print 2 copies of each page on card stock (option to laminate) and then cut apart.
- Mix up cards and then lay face down in rows.
- Pick up one card and flip it over.
- Then choose another card and try to find the match.
- If a match is not made, place both cards facedown and try again.
- Continue until all cards have been matched.
2-Player Rules:
Follow the instructions above.
Each player takes turns looking for matches. When you get a match, you get an extra turn. Player with the most matches at the end of the game wins.
Candy Corn Counting
This sweet game is perfect for teaching counting, as well as working on fine motor skills. It’s available in color or black and white. Gobbling candy at the end is optional! (Adult supervision is highly recommended, as candy corn can pose a choking hazard if swallowed.)
Supplies:
- Candy Corn Counting Printable (option for black and white or color)
- Candy Corn
Directions:
It’s time to count candy corn! Place the correct amount of candy corn on the corresponding numbered candy corn on the activity sheet.
Notes:
Laminate or place activity sheet in page protector to play multiple times.
